Returning to in-house lessons

Updated: Mar 30, 2021

Dear students and parents,

On Friday 16 May 2020, the NSW Government changed the restrictions in place for managing the response to COVID-19.

Students are now in a position to consider returning to in-house, private music lessons.

Until we have 100% clearance from all levels of government, I am leaving the decision about returning to in-house lessons up to each individual. We all have our unique set of circumstances to consider.

Please note the measures that remain for in-house lessons until further notice:

  • No more than four people are allowed to be in the home studio space of 19.25m2 at any given time (that is the teacher, student and two extra people).

  • People must maintain the 1.5m physical, social distancing rule.

  • Good hand hygiene practises are essential.

  • Students should not attend in-house lessons if they are feeling unwell.

  • In-house lessons cannot take place if the teacher is feeling unwell.

  • Surfaces will be disinfected and wiped down after each lesson.

During times of natural disaster and pandemics such as COVID-19, the rules that must be adhered are determined by our Commonwealth (federal) and State Governments.

I encourage students and parents to read the latest information on restrictions published by the NSW Government and to monitor the local trends in infection rates.

Regards
