Australian's have been invited to join the worldwide celebration of music on 21 June 2021.
'Make Music Day' has grown as a global celebration of music making across more that 1000 cities around the world.
MJ Piano Lessons is contributing to Make Music Day in Australia by hosting two free events:
Monday 21 June 2021: Start Making Music! Free Introductory Piano Lessons
Make Music Day started in France 1982 when Jack Lang and his staff at the Ministry of Culture dreamed up an idea for a new kind of musical holiday. They imagined a day where free music would be everywhere, all around the city: street corners, parks, rooftops, gardens, and store fronts. And, unlike a typical music festival, anyone and everyone would be invited to join and play music, or host performances.
"What I love about Make Music Day is that people of all ages and stages of musical development from around the world join in. It is an especially welcoming experience for beginners who often get their first opportunity to perform in front of others," says Justin McKee, Piano Teacher at MJ Piano Lessons.
"All of my students can experience the joy of performing at a special event being held for them on Saturday 19 June 2021 where they will each get the chance to perform at an informal event with their parents.
"I have never met anyone who has regretted learning an instrument, in fact the reverse is true! People who gave up piano lessons when they were younger are the most likely to seek out piano lessons as adults in my experience, because they truly miss playing.

Justin McKee, Piano Teacher at MJ Piano Lessons has been teaching piano for over 20 years and delivers piano lessons at his home studio in Summer Hill, Inner West of Sydney.
